Where Can I Properly Dispose of My Medications?

There are two types of formal collection options:

Through law enforcement agencies, or

At household hazardous waste collection events.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENTS

SALT LAKE COUNTY

Salt Lake Valley Health Department sponsors household hazardous waste community collection events, April through September each year. This year they arranged to have law enforcement officers present to collect medications. The events are held as follows:

The SECOND Thursday of each month April - September:

The THIRD Thursday of each month April - September:

Holladay City

The FOURTH Thursday of each month April—September:

This service is provided only to Salt Lake Valley residents and is free.
